Anatomy and Physiology I - BIO220-OL

Description: This 4-credit course is the first half of a 2-semester series in anatomy & physiology. Students will learn about various tissues of the body, and the cells that comprise them. Specific focus will be on the following tissue types: skin and integumentary, skeletal, muscular and nervous. Students will begin to acquire detailed knowledge of the contribution of these tissues and to the function and anatomy of the human body. Diabetes and Mother Earth - NF110-OL

Description: Basic Type 2 Diabetes information and relationship of the disease to psychological and physical health risks of Native Americans. The course will be divided into three components. The first component titled “Strong in Body and Spirit” addresses the nutrition, exercise, and psychosocial components of the disease “through the eyes of the Eagle.” The second component emphasizes the benefits of exercise and food production through gardening. The final component focuses on low-fat cookery, specifically hunting and preparation of wild game, including buffalo.
